First of all, such water heaters consume less energy and thus save the world’s limited resources. Tankless water heater uses no energy when you don’t need any hot water. It sounds reasonable and logical. However, when it comes to conventional tank water heaters there are a lot of cons in this respect. Reservoir water heater keeps on heating quite a sufficient amount of water 24/7. Unfortunately, there is a loss of heat regardless of how well the tank is insulated. In the end of a day you receive costly energy bill. |

This is a great assessment of why it is eco friendly. I would also add that tankless water heaters do a great job of maintaining continuous hot water as well. As in a tankless heater will not ever run out like a tank water heater does.
